Here is our Green School Song Book
Let us know if you have a favourite song we can add, over on the survey on the Forest Are blog please.
Let's kick off with one of our own!
We will sing it together for the first time on March 11th at 11 a.m. to mark NATIONAL TREE WEEK and SEACHTAIN NA GAEILGE, at the Junior School Forest Are.
Our Green Code Song, St. Laurence NS, Baldoyle
(To the tune of “You are my sunshine”)
Here is our new verse! It is our Green Code for Biodiversity! Thanks to all who sent in entries to our January competition, during "Operation Education"; do you recognise your contribution? We put up all of the best over on the "More about the Green Code Song" page.
We're growing plants and trees,
They clean the air we breathe.
We're planting flowers and seeds
They help the birds and bees.
Biodiversity -
Vital for Harmony!
Variety's the spice of life
For you and me.

We are a green school,
A very clean school,
We are a green school,
Let’s keep it clean,
We are a green school,
It is a team school,
Keep it Green,
Keep it Clean,
Keep it Green, RRR!
Switch out the light when it is bright,
Pull out the plug, Don’t act the mug!
Shut the door! Let’s do more!
At home and at school, Save energy & be cool!
U-I-S-C-E, U-I-S-C-E
Tá uisce daor, Níl uisce soar,
Ní dheinim cur amú, Ní dheinim truailliú,
Uisce abú, Uisce abú, Uisce abú
Walk in the sunshine, or under rainbows
It makes us happy if skies are grey
No such thing as bad weather only inappropriate clothes,
So grab your coat & let’s go out to play!
